Stage 1 is the most requested remap, and it is where the difference between two file services shows the most. At MGREPROG, every Stage 1 file is modified by hand, starting from the file read from your vehicle. No generic file is ever applied by default.
What is Stage 1?
Stage 1 is an optimisation of the engine ECU with no mechanical changes. The original calibration is reworked to gain power, torque and responsiveness, while staying within safe limits for the engine and the drivetrain.
How it works
You read the ECU with your tool (Autotuner, Kess, KTAG, Flex or another).
You place your order on the website, on the Order page, and send the file you read.
We modify the file by hand, for that specific engine and ECU.
You receive your Stage 1 file within 20 minutes to 1 hour, during business hours.
You write the file to the vehicle.
Turnaround and opening hours
We process files Monday to Friday, 9 am to 7 pm, and Saturday 9 am to 1 pm (Paris time). During these hours, your file is delivered within 20 minutes to 1 hour. Outside these hours, or for a specific request, express processing is possible: get in touch.
Custom, not generic
Many services send ready-made files, applied by default to every engine of the same type. These files ignore the software version and the differences between two vehicles that look identical. The result: fault codes, inconsistent settings or gains below what the engine can deliver. Here, every file is worked on individually.
What gains can you expect?
Gains depend on the vehicle: engine, ECU and software version. No figure applies to every engine, which is why each file is tuned case by case.

What if there is an issue after installation?
If a problem comes from the file, we fix it, and revisions are free. Write to us from your order thread: we will rework the file.
